Petra Kvitova confident winning Titles at any Court
Petra Kvitova is keen to show the World that she is not just a grass court specialist and that she can win big trophies on other surfaces as well.
Kvitova has never won a Slam other than Wimbledon so far in her career and that has prompted people to question her credentials as an all round player.
The critics are of the opinion that the 24-year old is not quite a threat on hard or on dusty surfaces.
Kvitova has made it to the semis in the Australian Open as well as in the French Open in the past. Still, the question marks are there over her versatility and that would remain there until she wins a slam in one of those two countries.
Kvitova is aware of that as well. She knows that she cannot stop people from talking about her being one dimensional player and all that until she lifts the title either at Melbourne Park or Roland Garros.
In an interview recently, Kvitova had this to say, “I am very proud of the fact that I have won a couple of times at Wimbledon and I would want to bag another trophy there, but, it’s important for me to show that I can play well anywhere in the world irrespective of the kind of surface I come across”
When asked if she believes she can prove herself in testing conditions, the Czech said, “Yes of course and you see I have not struggled on a consistent basis on those surfaces. It’s just that I haven’t delivered in a big tournament which I believe I can do in future.”
Kvitova holds 4th position at the moment in the rankings of the professional female tennis players. She has 15 WTA titles to her name so far.
